Food & Hotel Thailand 2015 – Serving Better Business

Food & Hotel Thailand (FHT) 2015 is the 23rd successful edition of the international exhibition for Food & Drink, Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes & Bakery, Kitchen & Foodservice Equipment, Hospitality Technology and Hospitality Supplies & Services taking place from 2nd to 5th September 2015, at BITEC, Bangkok.

 

"Tourism is an essential mechanism that has greatly driven the country's economy over the past 5 months (January to May 2015). We have seen tourist arrivals rise 24.72% to 12,448,641, and tourism revenues increase 25.13% to approx. 592,923.37 million baht over this period. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is targeting approx. 45 to 50% increase in tourism revenues this year compared to last year, estimated at approx. 2.2 trillion baht.” Stated Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

 

Mr. Sugree Sithivanich also added that; “Demand for tourism and F&B in Thailand is still growing rapidly and the TAT strongly supports FHT because it is a very important event that aids the development of Thailand’s tourism and hospitality sectors. It presents many new ideas and beneficial business opportunities that can elevate Thailand’s standards and supply to cater to our growing number of tourists.”

 

Food & Hotel Thailand (FHT) 2015 will present over 350 participants from 26 countries, over 1,000 brands, 3 International Pavilions from China, Japan and Korea and many leading industry conferences, seminars and events.

 

New and highlights of FHT2015 include:

  • New foodservice machines and kitchen equipment from the Korean Pavilion

  • New Product Launches with 34 Global Launches, 30 ASEAN Launches and  70 Thailand Launches

  • New culinary competition “AEC Culinary Challenge 2015”

  • New activity “Concierge of the Year Competition 2015”

  • Returning conference “AHRA ASEAN Hotel and Restaurant Association Conference 2015”

“FHT2015 is 30% bigger this year and features many new exhibitors and industry events. Last year, FHT attracted 26,550 trade visitors from 51 countries and we are expecting high quality and numbers of trade buyers again this year.” Added Mr. Pau.

 

Ms. Jaruwan Suwannasat, Director of Exhibitions and Events, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) also stated that; “Premier events such as Food & Hotel Thailand offer a platform for success and capitalise on Thailand’s position as a gateway to ASEAN ahead of the full implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In preparation for the upcoming AEC, TCEB has launched the ASEAN Rising Trade Show (ART) campaign. A project that aims to raise the quality and potential of Thailand’s trade fairs and support them to be one of the driving force for Thai economy. This year, TCEB has given our support to help set up the AEC Culinary Challenge 2015, which sees chefs from across ASEAN compete and exchange knowledge and cultural cuisines on a great stage.”
